Mesquite Art Gallery is pleased to present our current exhibition

RECIEVING SIGNALS Featuring works by Gabriele Teich.

Mesquite Art Gallery, 340 N. Mesquite Street, Las Cruces,

Opening: First Friday, September 4th 4-8pm.

No media is too great a challenge for Gabriele Teich.  With curiosity and energy she delves into all mediums, finding relationships in art through her training as a textile engineer.  In this exhibition she presents works on satellite dishes which had been on Gabriele’s mind since before Covid. As she finally found the time to turn her own dish into a piece of art in 2020, friends began bringing her more dishes over the years. At first she chose very personal designs and adorned her backyard with them, never intending to sell. The recycling aspect of the dishes appeals to her and she found them a welcoming canvas to work with. In Receiving Signals she’s taking inspiration from the world around her, her travels and encounters with various cultures. They take flight in this first public exhibition to share with the world.

The MAG's Tenner Gallery opens Stop by Paying AtTENtion to Art featuring Ten o 'Clock Club artists'

From fabric to paint to metal to print to found objects, the Ten o 'Clock Club artists' exhibit offers a myriad of creativity, including, just for fun, exhibit titles featuring the word, TEN. Each month, the group meets on the tenth of the month at 10 am.  Discussions ensue based on the work they have been making, with luck and determination, for a minimum of ten minutes sometime each day. Paying AtTENtion to Art invites visitors to take time to look closely at art in the exhibit and to find inspiration in the abundance of art around all of us.  It is the tenth art exhibit featuring the word TEN

sponsored by the Ten o'Clock Club, and the third at the Mesquite Art Gallery.
